I am debating on getting one of the KBD 99 spec plateless front bumpers. I have searched and read all of the posts I could find on here about them but still have a couple questions.

Fitment, consensus is that fitment is not OE quality, what issues are there? Is it body line issues, warping issues, any pictures of issues would be great.

Brackets, do I need to use the metal brackets from the stock bumper to mount this kit? I have already modified the bumper reinforcement rebar to fit a 99 spec bumper, I am more concerned about the actual metal brackets from the stock bumper, I believe there are 3 if memory serves me right.

Any info here would be appreciated.

 

Following this, I got a KBD from the PO. However, I feel like paint matching it and the quality just won't be there when I can buy a plateless FRP copy off ebay

If the KBD bumper is polyurethane then look up rotary extreme plateless 99 spec bumper. As an fyi all plateless 99 spec polyurethane bumpers came from the same mold (that rotary extreme had done) and there's a lot of info in what you need to install it, fitment, what to use, etc.
