JDM FD future price?
So I'm bringing back my 92 FD back to the states under the 25 yr old rule once my tour is up over here. Just curious, is the market going to be like the skyline now? Or do you guys think the RHD market will fall in a few years? Because of Cananda?

Up here, in Canada, FD prices have increased by 50% in the last year. A year ago you could get a clean rhd FD for $10k cdn if you were a little patient. Now people are asking $15k-$20k cdn for clean ones and $8k-$10k for clapped out ones (blown engines or missing parts).
Everything JDM in Canada has skyrocketed since the R32 became legal to import in to the US. The NSX has also gone from $35k cdn to $60k-$70k cdn in the last year. With fixed headlight models being listed close to, and some over, $100k cdn. RHD Supra prices have doubled in the last couple of years. Everyone wants some of that JDM money.
However, i think that R32 prices will drop once the R33 becomes legal and the market is flooded with R32s. I see all these automotive youtubers buying R32s and saying "omg my dream car. I've wanted one for 15 years and I finally have one. My life long dream has come true." Then they sell it six months later and move on to something different.
I think the FD prices will increase when they become legal to import in to the US. I don't know how high they will go. I think paying $20k cdn for a 25 year old car is crazy unless the car is a collector's car, which very few FDs are. But I don't know enough to predict car prices. Hell, most FDs listed in the classfieds on here are selling for around $25k cdn right now.

Apples to Apples FDs, I expect RHD cars to fetch a couple grand less than US versions.
Only goofballs want to drive on the wrong side of the road.
There may be exceptional examples of newer and special edition FDs that were not available in the US to command a premium. But they wont be available for a couple more years :/
