So im in the process of gutting everything out from my interior for my race car build. Sound deadening removed and now i would like to paint the interior with something durable.

What type of durable paint is everyone using to paint up their floor/ trunk space/ etc? what about heat resistance mats? what are you using for transmission tunnel heat prevention?

Im not looking to powder coat the interior at the moment.

What about pickup truck bed paint? that stuff is tough and if you use the roller it has a bit of texture to it. Should work good for durability.

 

Lizard Skin for the interior. I would shield the trans tunnel from the underside. I suppose you could also add something on the interior for extra protection.
