Why not do it from under the car? Seems to be a lot easier.

I need to do something with mine, it's begining to rust (it's been on the car for 12yrs.) How much are these strut bars going for? They sure look nice.

No way they are really light weight I bet I can bend one in half with just my arms and no knee. I just went out side to check and started to bend it with just my hands. I didnt want to go all the way as I dont want to ruin it.

Now I am sure that in and out, as in pressure from both ends they are very strong. But the $10 ebay stut bar I have sitting around is far stronger than the stock one.

That being said they still look really good
And I still want a black one for my car.

Does anyone know if this strut bar will work with a Pettit 3 rotor conversion? If so, I'd be down for one.

I say it wouldnt.. But Who knows.. These R1 strut bars sit lower than Cusco or any other bars.

I always liked these bars and thought they would be so strong, Untill I held one. You could bend it in half over your knee.

I still want a black one though
Same as reason above.. And they are pretty strong..

I can look into getting another batch, but would need at least five deposits to make it worthwhile. Price would be around $250.....
Are these different than the OEM ones that are sold on the fdnewbie website. Those are the r1/r1 oem ones and going for 180 shipped?

I agree. They can easily be bent in half. I have an oem 97 black bar in my car. Fortunately, they were built to sustain forces that will not bend them the way we can.

Yup.

Difference being, these ones are freshly prepped, stripped and repainted, the bar ends are prepped and ceramic coated, and all of the hardware is new and/or polished up. They're basically like new

Bump for a simple question:

Which models got the Adjustable version of the strut bar, US and JDM cars.

I believe it was just 92/93 cars across the board that have the adjustable ones. All 94 and up that I have seen have had the non-adjustable including my 94.

That one appears to have been installed back to front! Version I in the applicable models should have it, before Mazda cheapened things to reduce build costs

I took pics from the wrong side of the car, no worries it's not mounted like that.

My friend owns Elite Ti, I'm waiting on new Titanium strut bar nuts and bolts before it goes on the car, old hardware is a bit worn that's why it's not in the picture. All the other nuts and bolts are titanium in this pic. Strut nuts, fenders, intake manifold bolts etc. He's working on a few new products for the FD (in Titanium of course) and we are using my car to test and showcase some bits.

The Garage Alpha titanium bar is on my list of Wants after I get all the Needs done for sure. I don't think they make the adjustable bar but I don't know if it is really necessary either. Either way, having somebody make more titanium parts for our cars isn't a bad idea in my opinion.
