Haltech nexus r3 on a 3 rotor

Hi guys currently trying to switch Ive from adaptronic to nexus r3. I purchased a flying lead harness and this will be my first wiring harness hopefully not my last. Have a couple questions before I decide to start.

What pins(wires) do I need to plug in to the body harness of the car. Example does the ecu need to see brake pedal switch(clutch)

For the transmission connectors do I just wire them through inputs

How do u recommend splitting the hco wire into 6 for ignition power.

Can I run my 6 injectors off of 2 hbo (8 amps) instead of using my 25 amp hco? I kinda want to run my two fans and water pump through 25 amp hco. Or maybe I should run my ewp through hbo instead of injectors.

I know running an ewp through hbo haltech recommends using solid state relay with a resistor. Where exactly do I find these things lol and if anyone has pictures of actual parts

I’ll be running my fans through hco idk if haltech recommends running ssr as well

Probably best to ask this in the Haltech engine management forum section.

I also hate to sound like a gatekeeper, but if you're interested in wiring this up yourself invest in some books and/or classes on engine management that include crash courses on basic circuit design and load before you just wire something up based on a bunch of forum knuckleheads advice. Or find someone to do the work for you/pay them to answer your questions.

I would reach out to Chris Ludwig and have him build you a harness.

+1 more for Ludwig / LMS-EFI

13b Elite 2500 apples to your 20b Nexus R3 oranges, but here's how Chris wired me up back in 2018 on what he called at the time an R-Spec+ harness

Version 1 was uncut

Version 2 had some built in future proof ease with the mil-spec bulk head connection

Version 3 had us swap out the Fan 1 / Fan 2 outputs to the DBW circuits swapped out with the IGN 7 / IGN 8 circuits since the DBW circuits rest at ground when the ECU is powered off creating a power loop through the fan relays keeping the ECU powered up even when the key is off (moved over to positions 17 and 18)

that’s some good info here I pretty much have all my sensors in place on the haltech. I know the stock ecu has a connector from the chassis side of the harness that communicates with the ecu for neutral switch, vss, reverse, power steering pressure and some other stuff. Just curious too see if Chris made you tap into that connector or was it just left hanging?

We had to tap into a few OEM feeds and I don't think we had any leftover Power FC inputs not provisioned for the Elite through Chris's harness. We had an issue with the reverse lights staying on, an issue resolved off the main harness and a power loop keeping the ECU on at shutoff with an issue with the cartek battery isolator. I will say I am one of the knuckleheads dguy warned you about so I left it up to the professionals, but I will look through my meticulously kept build notes with the OEM wiring schematics and see if I can find anything else for you

In the meantime here is a link to a 1993 RX-7 factory wiring diagrams
