G35-900 or g30-900
Hey guys just looking for some help here recomending me on what turbo to purchase.
Im between the g30-900 and g35-900.
The car is street ported with water meth looking around 500whp at 22psi with the less lag i can have.

If you look at another turbo that we know makes 500whp with relative ease ...say the 8374 1.05AR . Then we know somewhere around 30lb/min turbine flow will do the trick nicely. Looking at the flow charts for those two turbines...either would do the job with the right AR housing . However, you have more options in either direction with the G35-900 and wont need an enormous turbine housing to do it ..... so that would be my pick.

Even though a G30-770 would be in a less efficient part of the compressor map than a G30-900, I question choosing a larger compressor for the same turbine housing. On a street car you generally aren’t going to be holding peak power for extended periods of time. It’d still be at ~68% at peak which is not really too bad.
in my view it’d be between the G30-770 or the G35-900. The G35 is going to respond slower assuming you’re sticking with the 1.06 divided T4 in either one. I still think the G35 will spool slower even with the 0.83 open scroll. It’d be giving up a lot of advantage to not choose a twin scroll housing on a 13B and a proper exhaust manifold.
