FD 17x9 +40 Square set up fitment?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out which rims and tires to get for my FD. Ideally I want a square setup so the the wheels are easily rotatable. I am running some Ohlin MAS Mi10S1 coilovers, stock body and no fender work. I am also getting 330 whp. I've been looking into some 17x9 +40 Konig Dekagrams with 255x35 all around. I want as aggressive and flush look you can get without any rubbing. Is this doable? Or should I consider running a staggered setup?

I know this type of question has been asked plenty of times, but there are so many opinions I don't even know whats what now lol. Thanks for the help!

That is a decent size and offset. You will want to roll front fenders though. The tires tend to catch the fender lips going up driveways when turning into gas stations etc. Rear has more room for a more aggressive offset.

There are so many threads on offset both here and in the Suspension forum that this type of question doesn't get a lot of responses since it's been beaten to death over the last 20 years. Search function is your friend...

You'll be hard pressed find aggressive and flush without fender rolling. I run a staggered set up and from my research, the flushest I could go with only fender rolling (no pull) is 18x8.5 +25mm up front and 18x9.5 +25mm in the rear. Using an online calculator you can convert that to just about any wheel width with corresponding offsets.

Also tire shape and camber adjustment play a huge roll when trying to be as flush as possible.

FYI - In the past I've had 18x8.5 +40mm up front and 18x9.5 +40mm without a fender roll and never rubbed. Well unless I was turning into a steep drive way with my wheels turned doh! Trust me you only make that mistake once... But anyway, like I said didn't rub but it was a total sunken battleship look.
