Did you Install Speedhut Gauges

My speedo and tach are not functioning properly. After reading on this forum, I find that this is a common problem with solutions that are over my head, save that of replacing the whole gauge cluster. Instead of that I have been looking at Speed Hut gauges. i am leery of what it will take to hook up these gauges on the three rotor.

1. What to buy. Can't seem to find the sensors I need on the website. Probably not looking in the right place.
2. Electric speedo or GPS (don't want to mount an antenna on my fresh paint and body). What is the hookup on the electric speedo?

In short, is there someone with some experience putting these in their car? I am going to have Broadfield Customs hang the gauges in my housing.

^ Hi ChrisH,

I have a 3 rotor and have installed the SpeedHut gauges. Check out this thread (https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...w-diy-1121768/)
and then, if you'd like, PM me your telephone number and I will call you to discuss. Toby at Broadfield will do a good job for you.

Go for the GPS speedo. You can just put the antenna on the dash under the windshield.

I agree on the gps speedo. I installed a set but got the non gps speedo. It's kind of a pain to calibrate. I used police radar mph signs to calibrate, but those seem to vary greatly. The calibration button is hard to press. And the standard calibration speed from S.H. is 25 mph. That makes a big percentage change at 120 mph if your calibration is slightly off.

I know... 1st world problems 😋
