Cost of 13B-REW with Transmission (2017)

Hi guys,

What would the cost of a rebuilt 13B-REW (within spec) and a rebuilt transmission go for?

I have a 13B-REW that I'm finishing up rebuilding, everything that was out of spec was replaced with new OEM hardware, all gaskets were replaced with OEM hardware with the exception of the oil pan, brand new BNR turbos. I'm tinkering with the idea of rebuilding the transmission with brand new OEM synchros. Anyway I need to sell some stuff to finish my 2JZ swap and was thinking of selling my rebuilt engine with a rebuilt transmission if the price is right.

-P.S I still have my Montego Blue FD with 13B-REW

Wow, that's really cheap. Kinda sad to see our drivetrain go for so little but at the same time its kinda nice to know if needed replacement is cheap.

Huh a guess that's what Frittz was talking about the 25k cap

Brand new shortblocks are available for 4500, so that's what you're up against. Figure you're losing for not being OEM, and gaining for having a long block with BNRs.
With a compression test and/or dyno, and rebuilt transmission you might get more like 5-6 if you wait for the right buyer.
A 93 mbm with a recent rebuild sold for 17,250 on BAT. What's the cost of a nice roller, plus engine, plus work? Some fuzzy math for you to chew on.
