Carbon Fibre moving led scuff plates / trim
My car had Alloy scuff plates when i purchased it
then i purchased some carbon fibre one's
So i though i would make some with a twist.
When you open the door the led's move from left to right and then right to left, and then stay
on and then go out and then start in the middle then to the outside and back to the middle and then stay on until you close the door.
I just have to pour some Acrylic Resin in the lines and the RX-7 and then clear coat them and wire them up and install them, not to bad for my first go at moulding a part in carbon fibre.
Thanks Ian.

I always laugh when people mention the term ricer when all our RX7's are Japanese! Personally I love JDM and Japanese tuner parts, once I am finished and reveal some shots of my current project car it will likely be the most "Japanese" or "ricer" RX7 in north America
Anywhoo....back to the thread, these are a nice modern touch, good job on the design and execution, it's great to see people doing something different!!
Video would be cool if you get time!

Very nice! Many of the new cars I've been looking at have some sort of similar kick-plate or scuff panel lighting. Definitely modernizes the look...and for those who don't know what an FD is, this will convince them even MORE that it is some brand-new exotic...
