After reading through this im wondering if ohlins are the right way to go now.
I only use my car on the street/canyon runs with friends for fun.

I was between fortune 500s/510s and the dfvs but maybe the spring rates will be to high for my application

Nope, with the DFV you can get away with higher than normal spring rates because of the high speed blow off... which is also what makes them great for street and canyon runs, but also hitting curbing on the track.

That said, if you want to run lower spring rates you can run +/- 30% on stock valving, but I always recommend customers try the stock 11/11KG out as they're really not comparable to other suspension with those rates for a variety of reasons (see my previous long post about Ohlins).
