99 fog lights

I have the fog lights mounted up perfectly because of the 99 rebar. Easy Breezy.

But when I hook the lights up to the 93 oem location they don't light up. Okay so I test the connection. I'm receiving 9.5 volts. Hmmm. Then I connect the fog lights directly to the battery and TADA they turn on.

The switch inside is connected and turned on with the headlights up and on as well.

I'm not sure whats happening but Id like to look pretty before MY DGRR prom event

First, I would check all the connections to make sure they are clean and tight. Next would be to check if there's a relay (not sure if there is)

The relay that says its for the dogs are up front by the intake. But there isn't any relay there so it must be a different relay somewhere else.

The connections are cleaned too. I'm striking out

That could be your problem. Has the elec sys been hacked by a PO? See att pgs from the '94 FSM on the relay

Did they work with 9.5 volts?

????? I'm confused. What worked before you replaced your bumper (post 5)? And the fact that it appears there's no relay (which could be your problem)

Also a shot in the dark is do you have your high beams on? Not sure about the FD, but most cars will turn off fog lights with the high beams on.

High beams are off.

The 93 fog lights worked before the paint job. The switch in the car on the center console is what controlled them on or off. I made sure that was clean and connected.

So, sounds like your original lights worked before you had your bumper replaced and now they don't work. Something must have happened between then and now.

Check the wiring that goes to the connection at the bumper. You may also want to check the positive resistance to a ground, it should be infinity, as well as ground to ground, should be 0. There could be some shorts. I still don't understand what's going on with your relay

Are there any brass spades where the relay should plug into? If not, I'm thinking the car originally didn't come with them and they were added later. If that's the case check for any non-oem wiring.

No Brass spades in the relay. If the wiring was added, It was done at the dealership when the car was purchased. It is a touring model.

The car has the correct wiring from what I see,

It appears there's no relay for the fogs. Mine does not have them and I sold the front harness of my '93 parts car that did. Looking at the schematic (att), the fogs are connected to the headlight circuit with no relay. The only other thing to check is the switch, see the att troubleshooting guide. And are you checking with the lights on? If all that checks, the only other thing is the wiring. Start tracking the continuity between the connections and to ground for breaks and shorts

The harness in your picture looks a little frayed BTW

Last resort would be to wire them direct

We're getting 11 volts from the pigtail on the connector close to the hood latch. The switch in the car activates the power correctly

If you are getting good power and ground at that connector, then something is up with the foglights. Dumb question - are there bulbs in the lights?

Yes lol the bulbs are actually yellow. I hooked them up to the battery directly and they light up great. But I get nothing when connected to the proper wiring.
