There's a very small Moto Guzzi 254 on the bike lift. It's the smallest 4 cylinder production bike at 231cc's. Have 10 bikes now. Mostly smaller. I sold my 900SS and my 916 2 years ago or so. Limiting my bikes to smaller displacement, lighter weight bikes only.
Wow, nice bike, too. It must have been the lift making it look bigger or something. It's not one of those with the..um, long gas tank is it? I think I remember them looking kinda futuristic?. heh Pardon my ignorance if I'm mistaken. The Italian bike definitely fits in with the rest of your collection.
Yeah. It has that long gas tank. It weighs about 250 lbs. More like a big mountain bike with a motor. It is the sister of the Benelli using the same motor. I like Italtion bikes. Have a Morini 3 1/2 and a Guzzi V50 Monza. Am looking for a 175 Parilli.
I know I posted the article from what Wendell Yamada sent me, but I just got a couple of copies and cut out and scanned it. I'm posting it again in case some of you guys read Japanese and can tell me what it says. (I was told this is the first American FD to appear in Option.)
After a lot of effort, I had the article translated from Japanese to English. Even then, it required more editing. Richard Bonis made some grammar changes and also did a great job of replacing the Japanese text with the translation.
Congrats from Greece. Thats a unique fd. One of a kind
Thanks much. I think more and more people are doing similar "OEM plus" or "enhanced OEM" style builds recognizing the inherent beauty of the design and balance of the FD.
Fantastic article - thank you for sharing! I am glad the build and your efforts have received the recognition they deserve, you should be very proud of what you have achieved
Thanks. Originally, I was going against the grain a bit, but I see more and more people doing builds that are somewhat similar to mine.
Great read, and thanks again for sharing. Incredible attention to detail in your car and hobbies, it's fantastic to see how much they covered in the article on your FD and lifestyle!
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing. I really like the attention to detail in your bio and the description of the car - great writing.
"It seems the car height could be lowered if he wants, but he does not do it on purpose. This is an adult's decision." Too good.
Thank you. I think the translation misses quite a bit of color, based on what some of my Japanese friends have said, but it's fairly accurate. And, their comments about it being an adult's thing does reflect a lot of the decisions about the build. I purposely avoided many of the more popular things many people do to emulate race/touge cars or the slammed stanced look, because I wanted a solid driver that was as true as possible in many ways to the OEM car.
