Unhappy Whining sound?! PLEASE HELP.

I noticed today that if I start in first gear and floor it, I get this whining sound, sounds like a women screaming, from about 3.5K-6K RPM. After 6K RPM it stops. Then after I get through first gear and shift to second, still flooring it of course, I get the same sound, except as loud. I don't hear it in any gears past second. I also don't hear it when I'm driving normally. Any ideas on what this could be?

Thanks for any help.

If the sound comes from the trans have the fluid level checked. If the fluid is original maybe have it changed.

Put a sock or some type of gag in her mouth... that will reduce the whine to a muffled buzzing sound... Sounds like a tranny or a CV issue... checked your fluid lately? Maybe power steering fluid is low?

Checked my tranny and PS fluids. Both at the right levels. I just changed the tranny fluid about 3k ago so I don't think thats it, but GUESS WHAT?

Its gone. I was driving it around yesterday and today and redlined it a few times to see if it was still makeing that sound. No sounds other then Exhaust and BOV. I hope I don't have to worry about it anymore.
