Whats the average cost to have the clutch replaced?

My clutch is wasted, so I'm getting a new clutch assembly(clutch plate, pressure plate, and barings) I know what that will cost me, what I don't know is what I should pay in labor. I'd like to know, so I don't get ripped off.

I would *highly* recommend going w/the ACT street/strip clutch and 8.5# flywheel. Shane Racing sells the combo for ~$950 if memory serves me. Much faster acceleration, esp. in the lower gears (1st gear is insane ) and the clutch is fantastic. Even if you don't have the $$$ on hand, I'd recommend charging it (that's what I did). It's not too often you'll be replacing your clutch; might as well do it right.

To answer your ?, I believe (not positive) that Dave at KD charged me ~$250 a year and a half ago.

It was 900 for a stock clutch with install from the dealer. A performance shop would charge about 200-250 labor + the cost of the clutch. So with an ACT you're looking at 750-850 depending on how much you pay for the clutch. Expect about 250 for labor though.
