what is normal boost for a stock car
im getting like 8-5-5. im thinking vacume hose. but i heard it was 10-8-10 then i hear 8-6-8???? what is it. thanks yall

10-8-10 is right for 100% stock. It's also where you want to be if you have some mods, but haven't upgraded the ECU.
With my mods, I am running a 11-10-12 with the stock pills. It's all the boost I want until I upgrade the IC.

wierd mine was 7 lbs. stock. What is the other two numbers? on my boost gauge it just hit 7 but then i dont think i payed to much attention after the initial spike. i have an automatic. Course i was stupid and had the boost uped to 15 and for some reason it slowly over time slid up to 17. One day it spiked at 20 and blew a seal. After rebuild i tink its runnin at 10. I have 3mil seals now so it could take the extra poundage but for now i think ill leave here.

10-8-10 is a little bit of a misnomer. It probably should read 10-8-10-8. 10psi by 3k, 8psi at the turbo transition point (4.5k), 10psi shortly thereafter (5-5.5k), bleeding down to 8psi by 6.5k holding that until redline. There is some debate as to whether not it should hold 10psi until redline, but both my RXs dropped to 8psi in the upper revs. Also this boost pattern is NOT what you'll get in 1st gear (it should consistently be true in 3rd and higher though). I get something close to 6-8-10 if I WOT my car from around 2.5k or so in first. The reason being that 1st gear is so short there is not time to get the primary spinning to full boost before transition.
I've also heard that 94+ machines do something closer to 10-8-9 or 10-8-8 for longevity purposes.
In any case, you can put a needle valve on the precontrol actuator and tune out the dip (or spike) during transition. I just did it and it really feels linear.
