I got 110 miles out of a 1/4 tank with a mix of city/highway so 22 mpg average. Since I am breaking in the new engine I didn't get on it so I stayed out of boost - but what fun is that. I'm sure with the PFC and other mods on the highway I could get 25-27 on the highway but this is gay. A modded FD especially ported is not meant to be babied all the time. Drive it like you stole it - have fun - probably 10-12 mpg during these times of spirited driving.

Hi Barry,

I'm not sure if your message was in reply to mine...but I drive the **** out of my R1 w/ported motor and PFC and see consistently 17 to 21 mpg. Ask Steve Kan or Steve Edmonsen; I had both of them scared this past weekend

Steve K. as I approach 150 on the highway in Houston: "You don't have ABS!!! You don't have ABS!!!"

Hey goodfellas, wasn't directing anything at you - I believe in driving an RX7 like it should be driven - they are track cars right from the factory. I got worse gas mileage when I was stock - weird, huh? By the way, why don't you have ABS?

I usually drive the daily driver(Geo Metro 43mpg) to work, about 20 miles away both ways, 4days a week then I drive the fd on my days off, works out pretty good, my fd gets about 18mpg.

I've barely gotten 10 mpg city and can't get more than 16.5 hwy. And, that city figure was drivin' conservatively. I am heavily modded. Pending goin' single turbo ..... when I want good mileage, I get in the '93 Corrado; can get 28.5 mpg hwy @75 mph.

goodfella,

When did you get the IC and Midpipe? How do you like it? I guess you are going to get it dyno'd again

21 MPG, that is great! And I know you drive the crap out of that thing too. Probably the PFC, did you change any of the maps when you added the MP and IC?

Sorry we haven't talked. The car is still in the shop if you can believe it. Hopefully it will be ready next week. Broke down and got the heavy gauge AST too.
