Post Some Pics of your FD! :D <- Pics of your car go in this thread!!
some more info
Just some more info about running gear etc
killed the engine at 09 nats, and a brand new rebuilt turbo
so the last year has seen brand new race prepped block build from brand new mazda engine (balanced, stud kit, porting - just the usual), new Turbo - Garret TO4Z with 1.00 exhaust, twin 44mm Tial wastegates, new manifold, new exhaust, new fuel system, change from Power FC to Link G4 and a new radiator gone in. Taken a while which sucks but when you wait on others constantly (and am still waiting for a part ordered in october!) and miss deadlines I gave up now and then. But the end is near.

surge tank, 2l. this bugger took some work to fit under the car in the space between subframe and tank. Runs in the two factory fuel lines to the front, with the factory carbon canister line as a return. Tank is fed from the factory pump

tank under the car.
Pumps are walbros, still a bit noisy in the car which I wanted to avoid so didnt use Bosch. Nothing some sound deadening wont fix.

Aeromotive fuel reg. In this pic you can see the small section of fuel rail behind the mounting bracket. This you can see is fed from the two fuel lines coming from the rear. Then these feed the rails (see next pic) and return to the reg, then back to surge tank.
Im going to add a Fuel Pressure sensor soon so the Link can log fuel pressure, and I want a gauge in the car to monitor this

injectors are factory 850cc secondaries (measured and flow 880cc @ 3bar) in the factory primary position in modified rail, and 1600cc secondaries

exhaust manifold, SS steam pipe. Doesnt look it in the pic, but both WG feed off at almost identical angles and runners are near equal length, close enough anyway.

And yes VV

both WG feed back into the 3.5" exhaust system. Since pic taken and time was available have added two flexi joins in wg pipes.

exhaust is 3.5" exhaust, split into twin 2.5", two reasonators then back into single 3.5" and one dytech at the rear. As its a bit noisy I may add another couple of reasonators where we have made room at rear when we built the exhaust system, just for this reason.

have reflective heat sheilded most lines around the turbo

nice big battery for planned audio install, was a pain to fit and no there wont be room in the hatch for it
ignore the blue hose across the engine bay lol it will feed the oil catch tank being made now, also having Air seperator tank for cooling system made.
Car had run in tune done a week or so ago, made 257rwkw (340hp) @17psi with 6300 rpm limit and very little timing. Going to take out one of the springs in each WG so min boost is only about 7-8psi and use the boost controller to bring boost back up so more fun pulling WG off again
with new ignition (IC&E, 4 coils and booster, no hassels with ignition noise like CDI), hope to achieve 500rwhp on pump gas, until new ignition system is in place, ill be happy with low 400s
I have also been making air guides so the air goes through the intercooler and radiator instead of around it so temps are better with track use. Got to make new undertray as factory one doesnt fit with the new raditator in place, and we have kept air cond too!
Got to finish work in audio install then the thing needs a bloody paint job, does it ever end??

This had me

Is that a Ford FPV Ute in the background?
SCRUB my camera settings are OK!!I have change the contrast to some photos. The color is something between brandywine and apple red candy. It is a special color made my SIKKENS in Greece just for this project. It took them almost three months for the recipe and for testing among all weather conditions. I will post some pictures without adjusting the contrast. The color of the pure RX7 is candy apple red ,HOK i think.
just an XR6 Turbo so not the FPV version unfortunately

Ok I guess is about time I post some pics myself...
I looked at every single page on this thread and I have seen some truly bad *** 3 gen's. I have also seen some messed up pics... but over all I see the passion most people have about their FD's...
I am new to the FD's but not to the rotaries. Currently I have 2, an 85 GSL-SE and recently got a 94 FD.
here it is...

The color on my car is House of Kolor Candy Apple Red which is different then vitafist's car. Candy colors are VERY hard to capture with a camera, they truly look outstanding in person.
