SpeedJunkie Question For You

SpeedJunkie, Are you using wheel spacers.

Tires look real nice sticking out like that....

Let me know the brand which wheel spacers you are using, if infact you are using them...

Thanks! Yep, just a fender roller and pulled the **** out of it. then used a hammer and dolly, then filled and sanded.

Thanks! Yeah I actually have my name down on the list for Shine to make them, but I'm not sure if he will. I really think I need to pull the front wheels out a bit and go wide fenders so it doesn't look so weird like it does now haha. Looks like it just has a fat *** and no ******* haha.

Negative, that's all wheel. I'm thinking about either using spacers on the front with wide fenders or just getting a wheel with more offset for up there. I'm not crazy about using spacers but I guess I will if I have to.

I tried to pull the front fenders out more but it just wasn't having it. Or maybe I just wasn't patient enough, not sure. The driver's side was actually eating the fender at first but I took it to get aligned and had just a touch of negative camber added for the time being, until I get wide fenders for the front. Even so, the camber I'm running on the front isn't even that much, it's like -0.1 or something. I don't think the back is much either but from the pics on this page it looks crazy negative.

Thanks! I like the look of it too. Good thing you didn't see the mounting bracket for it though, that I made out of scrap metal I got from work hahaha.

Well my A/C never was that cold or worked that great, and when I rebuilt the engine last year and forgot to cap off the separator or whatever, I decided to just pull it haha. I don't have heat right now either because I cracked the heater core at the same time. Some days I think it was a really bad idea to go all black and not have A/C though lol. Could be worse though, at least I'm in Colorado and not anywhere in the south.

Okay, this is going to sound dumb...Are those the Nitto drag radials? And if so, am I correct in seeing them on all 4 corners? If so, I'm kind of confused...lol

Yep, the world's first AWD FD. LOL Just playing, but you already know that. Actually I doubt my claim of the world's first is even correct.

Yeah SUPPOSEDLY these are built differently, even though they look the same. Stiffer sidewalls and stickier tread, I think that's what the site said anyway. They just look exactly the same.

Not a fan of the front wide fenders for an FD, nor do I think there is ever really a need to fit more than a 285 tire on the front (which you can do with stock fenders), but that rear flare does look very nice. I was never a fan of the Pettit rear flares, I think they look too exaggerated and ruin the smooth lines of the car, but a subtle, yet aggressive flare right above the arch does look nice.
