^ Hey man. Hehe...actually, you were the one that inspired me to do it. I was doing a Spirit R interior finish forum search last summer and I found your thread:

The formula mixture was done by a shop so I/we didn't use the actual formula as discussed in the link above but another product. It turned out pretty well, I thought. Here's a better pic of the hood meter with new bezels, etc. I changed color to blue turning blinkers in process. I will do a better photoshoot once car is complete:

...ok, hope I don't get booted for going off topic!

his rear fenders have had some body work done, that isnt the average pull you can achieve with a fender roller.

another thing too is i can guarantee you his rear tires are no larger than 255/265 MAX, so it gives off a whole different look than what you're trying to achieve.
Yeah, that's why I'm afraid I'll be ripping out the sidewall with the fender LOL. I'm thinking they might need to come out a little more. Although another pic I have looks a little more promising. I didn't want to run a tire too skinny. I did that last time and I didn't like it. I'm going for as much contact patch as possible without needing to go widebody.

I actually thought about having them cut it and pull it out, and I thought that's what they were going to do until I got some pics.

Oh, I'm flattered then LOL. That's awesome man, it came out really well. I'll PM you.

Screw that, I'd hate to buy tires for 19s, it's expensive enough for the 18s.

Ouch. Its not that I care to much, and maybe I am a little full of myself but its just that I put in COUNTLESS hours trying to get my wheels to fit, and I did all my homework. Im not the only person on the board with offset, so everyone should know it can be done. But if anyone wants help, just shoot me a PM.

Honestly, there is nothing special to how I did it, I just spent countless hours with a fender roller and a heat, and thats how it turned out. I did have a lot of practice though, cause I have been doing my friends cars for the past year or two.

Did you use the Eastwood fender roller? When I first did mine, I only got the little lip like in the pic I posted, and it's still that way with my buddy doing it. I had a problem getting the roller to extend out far enough to go higher into the fender. I guess it just takes practice.

shouldnt that be more reason to share what information you do have to benefit others? we would be seeing a lot more cool fd's around here if more people knew what was possible, and what it took to fit wheels with an offset below 30.

anyone with some extra time, a fender roller, and a little bit of patience can throw some outrageously sized wheels on an fd and make them fit just like you and many others have done. you're acting like you've discovered the cure for cancer or something and its some big secret that you cant tell anyone, so retarded.

how about providing some useful information instead of being a douche?
sound cool?

All of these posts will be deleted (or at least should be) but IMO you're the one acting like an ***. Bruce offered to answer questions about his car via PM, what more do you want? You can't sit there and tell me that everyone on the forum that doesn't reveal all their secrets is "retarded" because I promise you there are lots of senior members that have all sorts of tricks that they keep to themselves.

Sometimes people would rather not post up all their details so that they don't have 10 copies of their car running around. Bruce proved that you can get that look with a fender roller and the right offsets, he isn't required to make it easy for everyone by giving all his info. He did his homework, he even gave you the wheel sizes and tire specs, all you have to do is figure out the offset. Anyone that wants that look can get it done, Bruce proved that and he's not required to do anything else.
