That's true but I think they are referring to the 245s stretched over a 10.5 inch wheel.

Edit: Also a +15 offset is not a very good fit for a stock body FD

The fitment is not good that is the whole point, or else he would be running 285's instead of 245's

Meh, it's one of those things, you either appreciate, or you don't - if you don't, there's no point arguing, if you do, it's a beauty to behold

Personally, the slight stretch and lip just poking out of the bodywork is just spot on for me, love it.

If the wheels fit, and don't rub, then imho the fitment is good bad fitment would be them rubbing on the body

If the tire cannot perform as it was designed to perform and if its structural integrity is challenged by its installation that doesn't look good to me and is stupid.

Three places I would never give a crap about looks on,

Brakes
Tires
Suspension

just for the record, noone has ever lost control of their car or been put in danger because of stretched tire sizes. and the tires ability to perform is actually enhanced and benefit him due to less sidewall flex and a more precise feel, since he clearly said hes sliding the car.

fitment looks dope man

i've never driven stretched tires until these that came with my used set of CR-Kai's off a 240sx. they are a bit way too undersized being 215 front and 225 rear on 18x8.5 and 18x9.5s. but to my surprise, they feels great. although griping is not at its best, but i have a lot of control. no doubt my next set will be 235/265

This thread is about posting pictures so we shouldn't go on with this.

I have made many stupid posts in my time but this is by far the stupiest post I have ever seen in my time at rx7club.com

If what you say is true why is a tire void of warranty if this procedure is done.
Do you have any notion of sidewall strength and how that affects cornering?

Ask around in the wheel tire section, I am curious to see what the more experience FD racers would have to say.

lol at "fitment". looks good on some cars and some wheel styles. like vw's and miatas with lip. never really liked it on fd. but then this topic has been beaten to death in just about every car forum there is ppl say it helps control when sliding and makes it more predictable, i don't doubt it. but sometimes it just looks less than awesome

Personally I LOVE my wheels on an FD particularly. They accentuate the curved sexyness of the car.
