RE-Amemiya: Anytime I'll post more as I get them.

LAN: What do you mean better offsets? I'm running 245x45x17 on 17x8.5 +48 offset. Car has been lowered as well, by around 3''. I'm always looking for new ideas / constructive criticisms.

I think he means that you need to get your wheel more out.

Nice ride!

Thanks Joa!!

Oh, I see. I have my reservations about getting wider in the rear... I'm more into AutoX and mountain driving (if you know what I mean) and I'm not sure how it would change the characteristics of the car. Don't get me wrong I like how some of them look, but not sure if it's for me. What are the benefits of having a wider rear / getting the wheels out more? Other then looks...

^^ There's no benefits. It actually has negative affects on the car when you decrease the offset. It might look "better" but will be harder on wheel bearings and won't handle as good as the proper offset would.

Hey, but it'll look cool....

It looks good how it is man. The only way to properly make the wheels stick out more is to add more wheel while using the proper offset.

Lan is wrong!!! You have the best off set you can get since you don't see any aftermarket rims in +50.

Yea, that was my main concern with the wheels that I got. I knew that having an offset that didn't match the stock would cause unneeded / unwanted stress on the wheel bearings, etc. Not something I wanted to deal with especially when taking a hard turn... I thought about going with a wider tire but I'm not much of a fan of the staggered size. I honestly don't see any real use / benefit for it.

I'm not a fan of the evo-R sleeks. But they go rather well with your car.

Disclaimer:

The front panels/pop-ups have not been flushed yet and the painted lip (painted due to miscommunication) is getting replaced with a mazdaspeed lip w/ feed sides to match.

Car is raised because it is still being built.

That's probably when he was on the 2-way with you saying "Dude, I was driving your car hard as hell and your GPS just about went out the window."
