Do you drive your car rx speed? Your V-mount intercooler setup makes absolutely no sense to me.

Because you are married with children and are halfway through having a new roof installed? It has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the RX7. Repeat, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Crispy

PS scratch that if you are at your mom's house

I do drive the car, and the intercooler works properly when i get the mazdaspeed hood. It uses some of the old plastic for the old intercooler to direct the air in through the bottom, and out the top of the hood. It is candy aple red.

Thanks man, this made me laugh.
Nope, it's my house. This picture was taken a few months after we went through hurricanes Francis and Jean in south Florida in 2004. Lost the roof and alot of other things. I did buy a Honda after that though..........generator that is.

Yes, I think i have some 3-4 year old videos of it somewhere from the previous owner and his girlfriend. But, if I remember correctly, that one had yellow faced gauges inside.

no offense intended but...
still doesnt make any sense.. airflow will be obstructed even with the mazdaspeed hood..
not to mention.. youre drivin her now with the stock hood and a front license plate that impedes air to the rad...

i must agree with amp. There isn't enough air flow through and out the intercooler. If u close the hood, the hood probably sits right above the IC w/out leaving much gap. Even after u get the mazdaspeed hood, the vent that lets air out sits way further back from ur intercooler. IMO, u may consider a scoop in the front middle of ur hood and try to reverse ur IC air flow, so air comes in the hood and goes out toward the back of the radiator and exits under the car.

Also, if you're using stock duct, where its positioned, I would assume ur only using the small square opening on the top of the duct to direct some air to this radiator??? any intercooler duct should cover the entire intercooler core to efficiently cool ur turbo air temp.

I'm not knit picking, but although ur IC setup is unique than everyone elses, it may actually do more harm to your engine than good. Do u know what's ur intake temp? You can risk heavy detonation if ur intake air temp is too high.
