Polishing rims??

Ok guys....I was told that factory rims are just as good as anything out there for performance purposes(Which I do believe because of their light weight and strength). But honestly they hinder the looks argueably the most beautiful car ever produced!!! I was thinking about getting my stock rims polished to compromise this!! How about some feedback on experiences with larger size rims and tires as a oppose to this set up??!! I own a 93 with a bunch of mods in which I do have traction problems! What do you think?

Get them powdercoated. Looks pretty good. Also if you decide to get rid of them later more people would buy them once powdercoated. The 2nd Gen guys love em.

here's a TON of good wheel info:

http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/wheels.html

from hat I've read, I wouldn't go larger than 17's unless you stay at the stock suspension height. width depends on what srpings you're using.

polishing your stock rims... I dunno.. if you're looking for the really higly polished chrome look, the FD did have the option of chrome plated wheels from the factory - I don't think they look so good, but that's just my opinion (althought I did like them back in '93).... I'm sure you can find some pics of stock chrome rims and see for yourself.

and yes, the stock rims are pretty good in the performance arena.
