Midpipe Install question

I remember disconnecting the electrical connector on my air pump before and the car idled like crap. I'm installing a midpipe soon and plan on leaving the airpump on the car. What has to be done so that the car will idle correctly?

Just pull the metal pipe from the airpump to the cat. Let the rubber hose dangle, it's fine. That's how mine is, and anybody else who has an airpump.
