follow up on battery relocation

ok, so thanks to all who helped out. but in my car the hole to get it into the interior of the car had a rubber cover over it. that would of been helpful to know. but other than that everything was as said. i ran the cable into the storage bin thru the slot for the lid. just widened it a bit. the battery fits ok in there, could be a little snugger.
but i want to double check some electrical stuff. ok, so i ground the battery negative terminal just about anywhere-as long as i sand down the spot to make sure there's good contact right?
what about the old cable that went to the battery's negative? does it need to be grounded or anything?

and aside question-i have pettit's 'upgraded grounding kit' where is the cable that there's replaces?
thanks

wel i don't think the rubber cap was a problem so that is why i didn't say anything, have you had problem?

Yeah, you can put it anywhere but be sure that this ground is on the whole car, the whole body. Personnaly, i putted it on the same ground as the door position switch (the switch that opens the light and make the beep when the door is open), there is a strong bolt there and it is already a ground. I sanded it though. I cutted the remaining groung but i let the part from the engine to the body. Just cut it where the wire is getting naked. At that place, it should do contact witht the body. I believe it remove something like ten inch of wire. Just make sure it doesn't touch the +.
