FD idles at .5k RPM for a few seconds at stop lights?

FD idles at .5k RPM for a few seconds at stop lights?
This is the odd problem. When I get to stop lights or stop signs I press in and hold the clutch in while I'm braking. While I'm stopped my engine stays at around 1500RPM for a few seconds then it drops down to the normal idles of 800-1000RPM. This just started happening a few weeks ago and it happens at least one time every 2 days or so. Should I be concerned?
