what rpm do y'all launch at and shift at on street tires??

i was told to launch at 3000 rpm
shift out of first at 6500 creating more load on the engine and therefore more exhaust pressure and boost which equals more torque.......and then from there on shift at 7000 or 7500 depending on what things look like on your dyno graph. i dont have one yet for my car to guide by so i would probably think to shift at 7000 as of now.
