Coolant system cleaner

Is there anything good for cleaning out the cooling system during a flush that wont hurt the motor?

I think you can flush out any impurity during the flushing process. I bet there is some 'cleaner' or additive that you can get from a more specialized auto store but I don't know if that really helps that much. The way I see it, if it's something that doesn't come off during the flushing process, it's not going to come off when the new coolant is filled.

If your car is really dirty, I would stop by a good auto store to see if they offer any additive for coolant flush. Maybe a little mouth wash would work -- just kidding!

I can't see there being to muchof a build up of anyting but I would really like to use something to make sure that the coolant ystem is spotless. But at the same time I do not want to damage any of the seals in the motor.

Most of the flushes shouldn't harm any seals in your motor, what you probably need to look for is an aluminum safe flush.
