Question Air Cleaner Hose Question

On the driver's side of the air cleaner box is a hose. On my 93 Touring, that hose takes a right angle down and is attached to nothing. I can see that it previously had a hose clamp on the "nothing" end as well. Where is this hose supposed to lead? I can see the previous owner has modified the air box to have a small amount of outside air coming in from the bottom.

Thanks,

I remember trippin-out on that too. Don’t worry, that’s how it was designed to be. I think it's to relieve pressure.

I'm okay with that, but why would there be marks from a clamp on the "nothing end" of the hose? Puzzling....

Someone must have pulled it off and reversed it at some point, making clamp marks on both ends.

Thanks for easing my mind.
