Heh, I know exactly what I am saying and see no reason to "watch it." Fact is there are far too many stock Honda Civics that remove their hubcaps (to look more "racier" <---if that's a word), cut their springs, put on this irritatingly loud, raspy, metallic sounding exhaust (not a deep tone, but one that sounds like a bunch of screwdrivers placed into a metal tumbler) and think that they're the fastest thing around. Now sure, there are plenty of cars around that will smoke mine and I am not saying me and my car are kings of the world, either. Just stating the obvious (at least for my area and what I see around all the time). So watch yourself if you feel your toes got stepped on there or something, amigo.

Oh and BTW, when was the last time you went into Home Depot or some other major home hardware store and saw a lawnmower in the garden section with the label "Mazda" on it? Hmm? I know I've seen plenty of Honda lawnmowers there though (and I own one)!!

I've done 130. The previous owner said he got it up to 145. The time that I got it up to 130 was really the only time I tried to push it to see how fast I could go. I'll have to try again sometime.

well...when mine was running, I hit about 110, but that's all the higher I could go at the time...roads around here aren't straight enough on the backroads, not to mention that the state highway patrol andthe local cops both patrol the four-lane that I was using...and did someone mention that floating feeling

yeah, i was scared of the cops/highway patrol.... but when you're going 130, you can see lights behind u and in front, and if someone starts catching up to you, get the hell off the freeway, make some turns and chill for about 20-30 min, take a nap or something...

well i recently topped out at 65. the absolute fastest the car would go. it was at night but i put my headlights down to get about 3 more mph out of it. my mods are one blown rear rotor, gutted cats, no mufflers, no ac or ps, and alot of weight removal.

i hit 155 in my 88T2 at night with the windows and sunroof open and a passenger. i also had a bit of backpressure in the exhaust, going from 3" dp to 2.5" catback isn't very good for high speed runs. i'm sure i would've easily passed the 160 mark on the speedo....but will never know

i think the biggest problem with going fast is watching for cops and stuff. whenever i go i always have someone in the car as a second pair of eyes. anyone actaully get a ticket while pushing it? my biggest ticket was 86 in a 70. im sure there are bigger.

Said 90+ on the ticket, i was doing much more than that. I had open alcohol in the car. And im a minor, well i was 17 at the time, im 18 now. Still not old enough to drink. But i went on probation for possesion of open alcohol and they dismissed the massive speeding **** and the alcohol charge after i had finished my probation.

137mph, and she was still slowly pulling. The road I was on was too floaty (and narrow) to keep going comfortably. It was a definet rush though. I can't wait to get this pile of parts on and see what she'll do then.
