You'll never guess what the hell I just did!
Well I just got my 88T2AE about...yesterday, and tonight I decided, hmm its Fri. why not change over my 91 15' rims and put them on 88AE.(have to do it because of lack of tread on my AE for now).
I do it on the side of my apartment complex because the management doesnt like me workin on my car. I proceed to jack up my car from the front to change my right front(with a craftsman 3 and half ton jack, and I hear.POP!! and then I hear fluid dripping, and..............
yup and I did it, I punctured my coolant resevoir.
Now what?
I have an 91 NA that Im parting out. Please tell me I can take off the one off my 91 and bolt it on 88...
someone, anyone, just tell me so I can get a good night sleep

How the hell did you damage the coolant res, by jacking up the car???
Even if you did you not use the factory jack points there is almost no way to get to the res???
And you did use the factrory jack points right??? You didn't bend the frame by jacking the car up in the wrong spot??

Well I did it from the front and try to get it on the center of the cross member, then I heard it pop loose. iT must have been right in front of the crossmember or on the edge. And theres coolant all over the pavement and when I started the car to move it back to my parking space I heard the alarm and got a coolant sign...Is there something else I might have punctured beside the resevior that has coolant?

You must have busted the plastic bottom of the radiator...
The coolant warning would not have come on for the res being damaged.
*edit
Do not start and run the car even 5 minutes if you did bust the radiator (as it sounds like) or you will damage and burn up your motor.

A radiator replacement is a two to three hour job from an apartment parking space. I know this from experience. I know how you feel having to work on a car where it is not welcomed . . having to do clutch jobs at midnight, etc. It sucks!

Yeah...You definitely busted your radiator. Sorry to hear about it.
It shouldnt take too long to change out ( I mean...youve pretty much drained all the coolant already ). All thats left to do is to take off some hoses, some bolts, and swap radiators. Then just fill it back up.
EDIT: I just remembered that if you still have the stock fan/shroud, itll take longer to do...

Haven't we ALL heard this
Wow, did you jack up your car with your radiator? That really sucks. According to your luck your landlords dog has already taken care of that coolant puddle

Ha, yeah that would be my luck, Me and my dedicated fiance spent an hour walking a bucket of soap water from the third story to my parking spot, sucked. And on top of that last night my frige stopped working, now I have limp meat in the freezer and stinky kimchi in the fridge(korean cabbage).Oh well
Im defenitely going with an after market radiator, and i was lookin at my coolant and it had traces of oil residue in it, I take it thats not good, or is that normal?
