Interesting, but ultimately useless since most people here can't safely rev off the scale of the stock tach, or make any useful power that high.

A mate's 270rwhp FC Turbo came from Japan with the complete RE-A cluster, including had a 300km/h (~187mph) speedo. We saw 260 once...

 

Yeah, it would be cool for someone who has a bridgeported engine or something and you wouldn't buy to have a seperate 5 inch tach. **shudders**

yes it would....considering its got japanese writings on it....it would be a primary example of rice!...but part of me wants one too!.......just to feel special!

Who makes it is irrelevant. Very few people have any need for a 10,000rpm tach, so most people would only get this for looks. You decide if that's rice...

 

I don't really think it's rice considering it matches the stocker so well. Most people unfamiliar with our cars wouldn't notice that it's even aftermarket. Although it really is pointless unless the car really does make power above the stock tach's limits.

I think! For SHOW it will look nice to have one on the dash board, So, If you guys here can't safely rev. off the scale of the stock tach., That means you are into shows, and your car will look good

In the other hand, For GO or the ones that knows how to rev. off the scale of the stock tach., it will be useful, So you don't have to install a huge tach. on the top of your dash and that will gives you more view up front when you go at 260km/h like you said you did.

Final thought; So, this forum is full of different people ones that like to go other that like to show, I think the tach is not useless at all

We have to be a little bit more careful on what we post here there is a big world of ideas out there and all of them has to be respected as well.

hahaha....not everyone knows about about hte rx7...but if they're interested in the car...most likely they'll try to peek inside to see why its special..when they see the 10k tach..they'll ask...can it really rev that high...and ur answer will be.....yes...but not this one....
