You already own a counter balancer puller

Check the pics. I was hammering away on this counter balance trying to get it off.
The FSM showed a puller to get it off. I went to Kragen to try to rent one. All they had was a harmonic balancer remover. I took it home, it didn't work but the way it works got me thinking. Then the long bolts went back and hit that plate behind the balancer. VALA. I put two more long bolts in there and started tightening them little at a time. Hit it with a hammer and tightened again. CRACK off it came!! I've been stareing at that damn thing for three weeks!! Wondering how am I going to get it off. Well I can't go any further with the break down until that thing comes off.

It's almost the same thing as getting a flywheel off.
You went through too much trouble to do this.
Just whack the **** out of it with a hammer, and it should pop off.

I hammered in the morning.....I hammered in the evening .....I hammered all day long. You know the song. The thing just wouldn't come off with a hammer. Also, I have heard some that have lightened flywheels have counterbalancers.

Are you hammering like your life depended on it?
You need to really whack the thing like the hammer is going to fly out of your hands.
If you are not deaf after whacking the flywheel or counterweight, you're not hitting it hard enough!

Words to live by, i spent a hour tryna knock my studs out of my 5 lug conversion to no sucess, my father took a mini sledge and finiched it off in 20 minutes. if its not moving your just not hitting hard enough get a heavier hammer also, deadblow preferrably. Those 16 ounce claw hammers aint ****.

Yea, I knew a guy that lived by the motto "I can fix the world, just give me a big enough hammer" His second Motto was "A 4 pound just aint good enough!"

I was hitting the damn thing and it started getting dented up.

I was hitting the damn thing and it started getting dented up. I figured if it was for balance I better not hit until it became out of balance
