Yet another wheel thread...

Hi all... I just bought a new set of rims and tires for my 89' GXL. I love the way the look and ride, but one thing bothers me; After getting them installed and driving on a 225 mile round trip, I smelled what I thought was burning rubber. Not real strong, but I know I didn't imagine it. The tires are 215/50VR 17" Yokohamas and the wheels are Enkei J10's (17X7" with 38mm offset), which from everything I read and researched here and elsewhere (including the discount tire salesman who was pretty knowledgeable) seems to indicate that this is a very doable combination (no suspension mods). One thought that occurred to me is that I recently replaced the famous 'o' rings under the oil filter pedestal and that maybe oil residue was the cause of the smell. I looked at the inside of the tires and couldn't see any obvious signs of rubbing but I haven't put up on the jack to look more thoroughly yet. Do you think I am safe with this size combo??? Anyway, I will try to attach a picture for those who may be curious...

If those numbers are correct, it's not the tire rubbing.
