Thumbs down ....yeah so my car caught on fire the other day.

......driving out to adamstown to talk to the show painter that is gonna do my car for "pennys a galllon".....and she catches on fire.....ON FIRE!! i mean i just bought her an Apexi S-AFCII for crying out loud!

i was about to paint her!...... so me and my friend put it out....engine would need re-built, or a reman installed. local mazda tells me 34-4000 to do i tell them ill just go find a turboII for that price.

found one in manassas only thing is convincing sumone to drive me an hr down and back just to look at a car on a lot.....if its even still there.......jerk-off running the email counter hasnt responded to me going....."dood seriouslly!! i want this car like dogs want it in the butt!!"

[note not an actual quote!]

anyway......its sad....untill i buy a nother car nothing is for sale yet.....if i get a se7en i get 1st pick at what i have then ill list it all.......if i buy sumthing else.....looking at a 91 300ZX[not liking it as much as a rex but still looking].....then ill sell all my parts most of which are still good.

for instance this one of a kind aluminum hood with custom carbon deposit center on saphire blue!!

Hey, I may be close to you. I just got back from Charlottesville tonight, and passed an 88 GXL sitting in someones yard for sale. It had a sign in the window that said it was for sale, but it was too faded to read in the dark. Let me know if you may be interested, I get up MD quite a bit, and I'd be willing to help a brotha' go look at a car. Im sitting here looking at a local ad for a 91 Vert, looks to be in really good shape. Let me know if you want me to get you the numbers.

not to turn away a gift, but i really wanna get either a turbo i wont have to rebuilt soon[somthin close to 100xxx or less] or a GTUs....if i go a while w/o finding either of those id settle for an S5.

thanks very much man keep your bananas peeled.....i found an 88 10AE turboII in manassas....hah, an hr drive just to "look". not too bad;white with black leather of course, power, sunroof, 5spd,& 118xxx miles....they want fourty nine....im hoping a lil closer to 4 thousand and im also hoing i can get the money from my step grandparents.......[money out there ***.....and not spending any of it]

1 hour drive is nothing. I drove 4 hours just to look at and buy the car, then 4 hours back. 4 hours back to the car the next week to pick it up with a trailer and 4 hours back with the car on the trailer. 16 hours for my TII. 2 hours is nothing. Go for the 10 AE!

I drove 9 hrs for my gxl, only $2k for it though, and a newly rebuilt engine. drove an hour for my 86 base. drove 30 min.s for my vert. down here, you don't get a very good choice on 7's if you want a good car, you're going to have to work for it.

Let me know, there is a black GTU down the street just sitting there with no exhaust. The guy goes out once a week and lets it run. He has no idea what it is, but wont let the damn thing go. I stop by there like once a week just to hassle him about it.

the trip to manassas was a complete bust!

it was a 10AE leather, rear wiper, impronted steering wheel.......and engine fire!!

thats right the 17 year old mexican that was talking to me[moron!] this was the conversation;

me: you work here?[he is dressed like a "street person" and younger than me......im 18]
salesman: ah yes.
me: can you tell me anything about this car?
salesman: ah yes.

*pause*........he breathes deep.....

salesman: itsa eight....eightynine......ahhh white......[looks at car].......its white

-all i could do was look at the ground and sigh-

so i pop the hood, i had noticed the ominus yellowish dust inside the car.....since of course mine also was covered in it, but it didn't smell the same. get the hood up, smile at the "turbo inercooled"......then i take notice to the chared mess of what used to be hoses!!

me: was......was this car on fire!?
salesman: oh.....oh yeah[watches me crumble a TB hose w/ my fingers] ummm....yes it has a fuel problem, but fourty nine hundred thats a good price.

me: no thanks ive seen enough [close the hood]

the car was worse than ive mentioned but ive mentioned enough

very disapointed, so disapointed infact that i almost bought a '95 eclipse GS-T, if it had been a GSX id prolly be on a different forum right now!

if anyone has a good prospect on a turboII with some life still left in it i would love to get one!! my personal second and third choices are a GTUs or just an S5 rex.
any help for a guy kicked in the nuts twice now[drunk hit my supra]

john
