Y-pipe question

Alright when I go for a catback I want to have a custom one built. I know that its best to buy a premade y-pipe instead of having a shop make me one. I found the flowmaster ones at summitracing.com but they look like the 2 exits are too close together for my car. I look at the racing beat one too but it splits into 2.33" or something. Is there a y-pipe out there that goes from 3" to 2.5" or larger? Thanks.

That very much depends on who's building it. Some exhaust builders are craftsmen. Some are not. A pre-made Y will flow no better than pipes blended together by someone who knew what they were doing.
