I dunno waht a stage 3 is,
but in my old 90 gxl ,I had the xtd 6 puck, I loved it, it was a little tricky at first (all 6pucks)
but It was great.

I've put down 300whp with their N/A 6puck setup, it worked quite well, it was a bit noisey on engagement, but other than that it worked just fine.

just give it some time. they stiffen up after a while.

i've used the 6-pucks on a few occasions. hands down, the smoothest engaging 6-puck i've ever felt in my life! engages as smooth as a street disk, and held 430+ whp with ease.
