Would you guys be interested in trophy/display rotors?

I've got a few bad engine rotors around that I'm thinking about glass bead blasting and painting. They would be great for display and demo purposes - I have a few around the house myself.

Would you guys be interested? Maybe $30 shipped for a rotor? If so, I'll start up the production line!

I'm trying to get some money together to get the car finished and start saving towards an engagement ring .

Thanks,
Dale

Heck, the girlfriend/fiancee-to-be is driving a silver '87 GXL that I built for her . She loves it, too!

OK, we've got one vote for one . I'll see if I can't clean/glass bead/paint one tonight and take a picture. I've done 'em before, and they turn out really sharp!

I might even be able to tell you the story of where the rotor came from for extra fun value .

Thanks,
Dale

Nah, that's why I got the white car - the previous owner had back problems, and had to go to the chiropractor after a drive in the car!

I'm just tryin' to catch up to Jay and Richard .

Anyhow, it looks like I'll have around 4 or 5 rotors that are good for trophies - I'll get one done tonight and post some pics!

Well if most things take as long as you painting your calipers it should be the year 2058 by the time you have a big turbo.

Nah, it's just junk rotors from Rod's motor and from Kathy's motor, and probably one or two of mine .

Here's the first prototype - it only has the first coat of paint and was still drying at the time. It's been heartily scrubbed and cleaned, glass bead blasted, primed with zinc rich primer, and sprayed with bright aluminum color enamel. Looks really sharp!

If anyone is interested, I have a few lined up for production. $30 shipped, Paypal preferred. PM me and we'll work out the details.

I'm also thinking about doing the same treatment to a rotor housing so you'd have a housing to put the rotor into. What do you think?

Dale

OK, I've got 3 rotors spoken for now. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll do a head count and find out how many I have - I know I have at *least* 5 rotors.

Tomorrow night I'm going to do a rotor housing and see how it turns out. If it turns out well, that will be an option to go with the rotor - $70 shipped for the pair (shipping is gonna be more with that much stuff - a rotor and housing is heavy!). I'll post up a pic when I get the rotor housing done.

Thanks!
