would a TORSEN diff for the TII fit into the NA housing?

hi guys...

i'm looking for a good diff for my 2 rx7's...

i have an 87 N/A and an 87 TII...

i've found a nice looking Torsen diff that will definitly fit into the TII... but will it also fit into the NA housing? (bonus question: if it fits S4 TII and s4 NA, would it also fit into s5 NA and s5 turbo? )

i just want to install the Torsen this winter into my NA for sime winter action ^^ and then swap it into my TII...

thanks for your help!

Patrick

No.
You need to find a Torsen out of a Miata.

but thx for your fast answer

so the only torsen that will fit the s4 NA's would be the 94+ miata torsen?

do you think that 300bucks is a good deal on a TII torsen?

I paid NZ$250 (~US$190) for a complete FD diff, and swapped the centre into my FC...

The prices of a used miata torsen are rediculous, unless you can find one for a steal. It could almost be cheaper to do an entire TII drivetrain swap, unless you find a miata torsen for under $450.

A complete Miata torsen rear end is usually around $800, but sometimes you can find just the centre section for a lot less. They are probably never going to be less than about $300 though, but keep an eye on eBay and miata.net and you might get a deal.
