Would like advise on exhaust

I have searched couldn't come to a conclusion due to difference in opinions.
So here it goes:

The car is a 91 turbo. It has a 3" downpipe with no cats, hooked up to a RB presilencer, hooked up to the "Y" and the remainder is stock.

The car is very quiet and I like that! However, I need a better flow of exhaust.
This is the plan:
After the "Y" run 2.5" pipes to the end without mufflers.
How quiet/loud it would be?

I had a 91 N/A with rb header and presilencer hooked up to the "Y" and stock exhaust and it was a little on the loud side once in WOT. Using this as a baseline what would you say?

no mufflers at all.... kiss your eardrums goodbye..

I have the Racing beat TII catback on my car, they have 2.5" internals versus the 3" mufflers from complete system that will not hook up wot what you already have (I asked them cause i wanted to run the 3" DP/PS with it but you either have to fab something up or buy the complete 3" system because the "Y" is different on the 3" system....

the TII catback is pretty nice and isn't really loud.. its actually quieter than the N/A i had with a racing beat system on it by a good margin

You think it would be that loud even with the presilencer?

I want to keep the stock look on the exhaust. I don't like the big "drum look" of the mufflers out there. I also like for it to be quiet and not attract attention.

I guess I don't have much choices.

No mufflers would be very very loud. Go with the racing beat dual 2.5 inch system. It is definitely the quietest system for a fc. Its really well built and very solid. I have heard a couple other systems on a turbo fc and they were both obnoxious.

Warning, the RB system is still louder than stock.

I'll have to measure to double-check, but I believe the previous owner had the exhaust on my car replaced at a muffler shop using 2.5" pipe rather than 2". I still have the stock-like replacement mufflers. I'll try and measure tonight, if they are 2.5" you can have them.

Thanks "Tessai", I have my originals on right now.
I am trying to increase the flow without increasing the loudness much. I also don't like the "drum look".

Glasspack would work for me, however there seems to be a discrepancy among people.

Some say they melt......so say they don't is used towards the end.

So I don't know if something like this would work considering I have no Cat.

I would go with 2.5" in the back with some Borla's 2.5" in/out. My friend went with that, and it sounds really good. I myself am running a single 3" turbo back. At first with only the N1, and it was just silly. So i added a Borla XR1 race muffler, and wow. Resonance is so much less, and around the city, it's far better. Pricey but good. Also check out Ansaautomotive.com They make the OEM mufflers for Ferrari, and M series BMW's. Good stuff there.

On a turbo, running just the RB presilencer is not too loud. It's really drone-y at cruise speeds around 3000rpm though. For the most part, though, it won't be too loud. Just watch for cops if you live in an area where cops like to disturb modded cars.

A friend of mine had a glasspack on this 85gsl and it lasted a long time. Sounded like a bee though, and that ain't too tough. As for the sound level, I can tell a fc has an aftermarket exhaust from a parking lot away. The RB system just doesn't have that effect, in my opinion. Although I am old, and my exhaust is an older model.
