IF the grounds for the ECU were left detached then the car won't start. Those grounds are on top of the engine and only accessible if the throttle body is removed.
Or if the ground that is located on the long bolt for the starter is left off.....the chances are also slim and none.
Or if you take your coil assy and rest them on top of rags or a piece of wood the car is guaranteed not to start never ever.
But if your talking about that puny little ground that attached close to the wiper motor...no.

It's highly unlikely a bad ground would make the car not start. Try check for the obvious(depends what it does when cranking): If it cranks: check engine fuse (under dash and 40A fuse in engine bay, AFM connector came off. Jump the yellow connector on the passenger shock tower , turn ignition to "on" and listen if the fuel pump is running. If it does NOT crank: check battery.
A bad ground just cause all sorts of weird **** when the car is running.

To jumper.........a piece of wire connecting one socket on the plug to the other. As in strip a piece of wire on both ends and insert one end of the wire in one socket of the plug and the other end of the striped wire into the other socket on the plug. It would be best if you crimped a spade on each end of the striped wire....but not a neccessity.
