is it worth upgrading the stock turbo?
I plan on doing a turbo upgrade soon and was wondering if it was worth it to ugrade the stock turbo? I'm not exactly sure what it all entails so info on that would be useful as well. Is it just a bigger compressor wheel? Power wise, is the difference pretty dramatic? Seems like the going price is around 6-700 dollars. My goals are approximately 300hp to the wheels. I'm aware of all the other components that are needed, just need help on the best turbo to fit my needs. TIA

I'd do the turbo last after your done with stage 3. Do stages 1 and 2 first .
Stage 1 - gagues, exhaust, catalytic converter, intake, fresh air headlight scoop
Stage 2 - FMIC (front mount intercooler), max stock fuel system output, fuel defeat
Stage 3 - Larger fuel injectors, performance ECU (engine management), etc...

I've heard 300rwhp with the stock turbo is very achievable. Only reason to upgrade would be to get the same volume at less PSI or quicker spoolup (with good volume of course).
