can i ask why you want something less reliable and less efficient? There's a reason cars have EFI now instead of carbeuration.
Do you know what size of carb you are getting?

Ugh.. here we go again. Really, the only real gain to carb is cost/simplicity and when converting its ironically not all that simple. You have to do alot of changes to the car to get it to work on a carb. On top of that its really just a cheap way to take advantage of a good port job.
Like everyone else says, FI is much better, even for port jobs, it just costs more.

no you won't!!!!!!! carbs have their own collection of ****** problems.. trust me i have a 1970 GTO and it's an incredible pain to start in cold weather (and its NOT an rx7), tuning it is hard as ****, and secondaries on a carb are ****.
Don't try to be smart.. you can't even figure out whether you actually have a carb or not.. read my last post

that's specific to rotaries.. it has nothing to do with the fuel system..
carbs introduce new problems that you also won't like.
what the ****?? you might check your compression or someting.. i think you have other problems beside your carb.. and speaking of, when are you going to clarify whether it actually exists or not?

and how is a carb going to help that?
sounds like your motor has a low compression problem. since you said that it was a rebuild then it will probably get better. A carb will not cure those problems-- chances are that it will make them worse. Carb'ed cars are a PITA to start in cold weather (as someone has already pionted put). I would recommend checking the compression, as it is generally low on a newly rebuilt motor. The ECU has a code installed in it from the factory that deals with warm-ups. It sounds as though this might be something that is causing some of the hassle.
edit-looks as though im a little late
