hey, i found a guy that wants out of the RX7 thing, he has a RED 1990 GTU that is in good shape if it wasnt tore apart, he started to swap a s4 drive line in cuz it was in good shape. he got most the way through the swap, but when he got to the wiring he said screw it so he is getting rid of it. he also had a 86 base that is rusted and was the donner car for the swap, he wants $1000 for both. Is this a good deal? i was thinking of offering him $800. what do u guys think.

sounds like a good deal, do either of them have a good engine?

The GTU has a good engine which has been tested while the parts car, is just about only worth scrap. The best thing on that car is a spoiler and the exhaust! If bought, I would probley sell some parts like a 5 bolt conversion from the gtu. I plan on taking some of the s5 body parts off and putting them on my s4 tII. If any one wants a good GTU shell for racing, this might be the one your looking for! theres also a lot of extra parts with it also!

A 1990 GTU is a base model.
It's practically worthless, unless you find a buyer that wants replacement parts.
If it has NO sunroof, it might be valuable to someone.

just a follow up, i got the cars for $800 =] i've already got most of the interior and s5 body panels off the 1990 and getting ready to swap it on to my black s4 TII, so i'll have a black on black TII, woooooo

If you part it out, you can make a killing off a clean s5 car.
