Won't start when hot any ideas

Won't start when hot any ideas

when my 1986 australian delievered factory tubro is hot (runnig temp) and i turn it off and try to start it again it won't it seems like it is flooding what do u reckon would cause this to happen, it will eventually start if u let it cool down a bit. any ideas would be a great help

This has been covered many times before. Its very likely the answer is in the FAQ or archives.

Have you confirmed that it's flooded by removing the leading plugs and examining? If they're wet with fuel-oil mixture it's flooded, if not you have another problem, perhaps like low engine compression.

If it is, indeed, flooding only when the engine is hot, I would suspect a leaking injector. Pull the injectors and have them cleaned and tested. Or you can take a ghetto bandaid approach by installing a fuel cutoff.
