wont start.need help please.

i just purchased a non-running 1988 rx-7. the guy i bought it from bought it non-op also but got it running for awhile by cleaning the injectors. he got it diagnostic and the technician said that the injectors needs to be replaced. but the car doesnt even turn over....when i try to start it all i hear is a click, and its not the alternator because it has a brand new one. can anyone please throw me some ideas what it might be? also, i know the rx-7 comes stock with dual exaust and i guess one of the old owners put on a brand new single exaust, is that going to be a problem?

O man you may need the help of a qualified tech. You probly need a battery to start with. Why are you worried about the exhaust if you havnt even got it started.

Okay---What is voltage @ ignition? if it's lower than 12, you're gonna have hell starting it with the condition you say it's in. I would go get the battery checked, too. You can never be too sure.

Or, if you're just really impatient like me---get someone to jump you off. That should be more than enough voltage/amps to get things kicking, but probably won't solve your overall problem...

Check the kind of battery. it may not be the right battery, and you may not have enough CCA.
