My 88 TII has a problem starting when it warms up, if its cold it will start right up, but if its warm it will crank and crank and crank till the battery runs dead. I checked and it dosent flood, and its still getting plenty of fuel. The odd part is that if I pop the clutch it will in fact start. The first thing that comes to my mind is a compression problem, but it pulls pretty good still, even though the turbo seems to be dead. Which brings me to another question, could the problem with the turbo be related to the warm starting problem? Any info would be great, Thanks!

 

When was the last time the injectors were cleaned and flow tested? A lot of 7's have a hot starting problem from that.
