Yesterday while driving my 88 gxl had trouble with the car. While driving in 2nd gear hear a pop from the exhaust and then my car shut off. After chraging the battery now lights come on and the engine cranks and starts, but the car won't idle when it's warm. while the car is cold it will idle somewhat with the car shaking, but as soon as it warms up the car will stall as soon as I take my foot off the gas. Also whenever I turn on extras(headlights, air conditioner, radio) my voltmeter will drop in charges. Also, the acceleration seems a little boggish. Can anyone help me?

 

Check alternator first.
