I still haven’t been able to get my car started and I don't want to sell it but I think its getting to the point that I don't have a choice, because I don't have the space for it. I think it has just a tad over 60k on it I haven’t been in it for almost a month now. never been smoked in Infinity’s in the front dash was building a system till it stopped working.1987 GXL auto I'm about 90% sure its not the motor it may just be flooded and need a new battery or something because it sounds like it will almost start then it cuts out. How much should I ask for I might try and get a rotary mechanic to fix it and getting it running if the money is around for it. Paint in bad condition but no rust but on sun roof"2 little spots smaller then a penny" and a rip on the drivers seat from previous owner getting in and out of car"getting re-done soon". Any ideas on prices I should ask for? Clean title 2nd owner.

You'll probably have more luck with responses/info with this in the 2nd gen section. So off to there this goes.

 

IF its just flooding, remove the EGI fuses, and then crank it a couple time with the pedal down, replace fuses and should start up. It may smoke just a little when it starts.

 

if you part it out let me know i may be interested in the infinity's....
i need new speakers bad....as my car is just one big loose connection

 

if it won't start... not more than $1000, if it does start and run will depend on miles, but from your description maybe $2k

 

As above, the car will be worth a lot more if running. Trying to sell if not running, most perspective buyers will think engine/trans is shot.

 

Well whats a good shop around the Washington DC area. Where is that fuse kept I can't seem to find it. I looked under the hood and in the drivers floor area and can't find that fuse. Could it be marked as something else?
